The Shub Club: Victorious Release

Victorious (feat. Tia Wood)
OUT NOW
Watch the Victorious Music Video
Shot by Daniyal Shah and edited by Bryan Reuben, the video amplifies the track's themes of clarity and liberation while showcasing the cultural fusion that defines Shub's groundbreaking sound.
With this video, we set out to build bridges between cultures and I think that this video has done that in an elevated, yet grounded, magical realism feel.
The video portrays Shub as "the Drum," the heart beat and fire for the people to gather around while Tia Wood's journey from the Plains to downtown Toronto embodies the emotional narrative of the song.
Dynamic choreography features dancers representing different versions of energy and spirit, brought to life by the fire. We began to see that through these two powerful and distinct artists, this track bridges communities and nations with a unifying message, and the universal call to the drum. Through all of their collective resilience, they emerge Victorious.
JUST ANNOUNCED:
Heritage (Part One) The Album
4.25.25

At its core, Heritage serves as an autobiography—one that, through the diverse backgrounds of its featured artists, also becomes a celebration of unity in a fractured world.
It’s about cultures coming together through my music. If you can forget about everything else for a moment, take it in, and just feel free—that’s the real beauty.
In case you missed it…
The next chapter with ‘Shub’

When I first started out, the name DJ Shub represented my love for turntablism and the culture of hip-hop and electronic music that shaped me. The "DJ" was a tribute to my roots—where it all began. But over the years, I’ve evolved as an artist. It’s become more than just DJing; it’s about storytelling, blending cultures, and honoring the deep connection I have to my Mohawk heritage.
So today, I’m stepping forward under a new name—Shub.
Dropping “DJ” isn’t about leaving anything behind; it’s about embracing the full scope of who I am as an artist. It’s not just about the technique or performance anymore, it’s about the message, the story and who I am as an electronic Indigenous artist.
Along with this change comes a new symbol—one that represents my journey. My new logo pays homage to my Mohawk heritage with the Thunderbird, a powerful symbol of protection, strength, and transformation. The circular design is a nod to the vinyl records that first inspired me, tying together the past, present, and future of my sound.
I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you all. There is so much more to come…
New era. Same energy. Let’s go.🔥
Love,
Shub.
